Stop worrying about food recalls and start canning and preserving your own food at home. Use a water bath or steam canner for processing high acid food and a pressure canner cooker for low acid food. Canning tools like a jar lifter, funnel and lid lifter will make it easier. Remember, canning, freezing and/or pickling fresh fruits and vegetables not only preserves the fresh taste, but the nutritional value too!
